Launch Week, Book Fairs & Breathing Out

This week has been a whirlwind. Wherever You Will Go is finally out in the world – and while I haven’t dared check the sales figures yet, I can tell you this: pressing “publish” felt like a release and a deep breath all at once.
If you’ve ever launched anything into the world—be it a book, a business, or even a bold idea—you’ll know the build-up is as intense as it is exciting. So today, I’m leaning into the quiet after the storm (or trying to). I’m exhausted, if I’m honest. But also full of hope.
And there’s no time to truly put my feet up just yet. This Saturday, I’ll be at my first book fair in Stroud with copies of Wherever You Will Go in hand. I’m hoping for three things from the day:
To meet readers face to face. After months of writing, editing, designing, and promoting, nothing beats a real conversation about books. Whether you’ve read mine or just fancy a chat about writing, I’d love to meet you. The event is at Lansdown Hall and Gallery, Lansdown, Stroud, GL5 1BB It's on Saturday 28th June from 10am to 3pm.
To connect with other authors. Being an indie writer can sometimes feel a bit solitary, so the idea of a room full of creatives is very energising.
To be reminded of why I do this. Launch fatigue is real. But events like these remind me of the joy, the connections, and the shared love of stories that keep me writing.
And Stroud is just the beginning. I’ve got a few more live events lined up this summer – some are still hush-hush, but I’ll share more soon. If you’re subscribed to my newsletter (thank you!) or following me on Instagram, you’ll be the first to know.
So, that’s me this week. A little tired, a lot grateful, and looking forward to what’s next. If you’re local to Stroud or nearby, come and say hello this Saturday. I’ll be the one with the stack of books and a vegan sausage sandwich.
Thank you, as always, for your support. Every kind word, every share, every reader—means the world.
